Cool Things Roundup
With spring weather this fine I'm always down for a drive up to the Getty Center, perhaps to pay this beauty (Édouard Manet’s Spring (Jeanne Demarsy), 1881) a visit. This is what else has caught my eye this week:
- Check out this mint condition house in Minnesota by none other than Frank Lloyd Wright, one of his last residential projects before his death--and it's for sale! (Apartment Therapy)
- Speaking of F.L.Wright, the good folks at his famously-designed Guggenheim Museum are making over 200 published works about the big names in the world of art history--Kandinksy, Rauschenberg, Picasso and others--available for free as part of their ongoing digitized library project. (Creators)
- Now that temperatures are climbing here in LA, I'm intrigued by the one-shoulder tops that are flooding stores. (J. Crew)
- My spring scent--anyone else digging these purse-sized fragrance rollerballs? (Sephora)
- Not all beautiful women of history were content just to pose for paintings (as seen above), the ancient Queen of Palmyra was a kick-ass leader, whose savvy and bravado helped her succeed in a very male world and resulted in a coin being minted with her image. (Getty Iris)
