Jungle Fever

Jungle Fever

Summer's almost here, so why not escape to a tropical destination if not literally, than through a few fun fashion items that convey a jungle vibe recalling a Gauguin-esque bold use of exotic color and pattern.

The light-as-air silk dress (above) looks like a watercolor painting and proves that tropical prints just don't appear on loud tourist clothing. This could easily be worn two ways with a pair of white pants for instance. Beautiful!

Weather not quite warm yet? It won't matter with this palm frond-themed soft coat. So perfect with jeans!

As you can see, tropical prints can come in more talilored look. This gorgeous print shirt would look terrific with a blazer in a professional setting. Also comes in a gorgeous pink.

This dress mixes bold pattern with pretty femininity. So many women, young and old, have great shoulders--show them off! This current shoulder-baring trend is all over the place. I definitely should take my own advice and take advantage of it...

I also love the comeback of the jumpsuit. What a great, chic alternative for a party than a dress.

These heels make me so happy. A fun way to sneak in a bit of the tropics with your outfit. Or for the more casual occasions, these slip-ons.

Of course there are many accessories featuring tropical motifs. This collar necklace is a fantastic alternative to a floral lei: gold-plated and featuring Swarovski crystals, this is piece like a work of art and a collector's item.
